Increasing Temps and Humidity

Hot and humid conditions will be in place over Stark County for Tuesday with heat indices climbing to near 100 degrees. The threat of a shower or tunderstorm remains in the forecast through the end of the week with the best chance for storms on Thursday.

Temperatures will be on the increase in Stark County along with humidity and the potential for a popup thunderstorm.

Warm, humid weather will be on tap for Stark County through at least mid week. Temperatures for Monday will climb into the upper 80s to near 90 over much of the area.

A weak cold front will push across the region Monday night into Tuesday morning increasing the threat of a shower or thunderstorm overnight. Clouds will also increase through the evening hours. Look for lows Monday night right around 68.

The cold front should stall south of the area Tuesday afternoon. Temperatures on Tuesday will be the highest of the week topping out around 90. Humidity will also be a factor Tuesday and heat indices will be around the 100 degree mark. The front will be close to our area keeping the threat of a shower or thunderstorm around during the daytime hours. Otherwise, skies will remain partly cloudy.

Some clouds hang around into Tuesday night holding in some of the daytime heating. Lows during the nighttime hours will be near 70.

Thunderstorm chances remain in place for Wednesday with highs around 85. The threat of a shower or thunderstorm will be higher during the afternoon hours Wednesday.

Lows Wednesday night will once again hang around 70.

The threat of a shower or thunderstorm continues through the end of the week. Highs will generally be in the upper 80s under partly cloudy skies. The best chance of a shower or thunderstorm will come Thursday and Thursday night.

Looking ahead into the weekend, early models are indicating mostly sunny conditions with highs in the mid 80s.

Perfect weather for Hall of Fame

Saturday will bring sunshine, pleasant temperatures to Stark County for Canton’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Weekend

With high pressure in control of our weather, Saturday will bring plenty of sunshine to Stark County. There will also be pleasant temperatures and low humidity. Canton could not have wished for a better day weather-wise for Pro Football Hall of Fame festivities.

Saturday will start out cool for the Grand Parade with temperatures around 60. Through the sun-filled day, temps will top out around 80 for afternoon highs.

Tonight will be clear and cool with a low once again around 60.

The high migrates toward the southeast Sunday allowing for a few clouds to build in later in the day. Highs Sunday will be a little warmer and humidity will be a bit higher. Highs Sunday will be around 85 under mostly sunny skies.

For Sunday evening’s Cowboys/Bengals HOF Game at 8:00 PM, temperatures will be about 70 degrees with mostly clear skies. Low temperatures through the night Sunday will be in the mid 60s.

The warming trend continues into the start of the work week. Monday’s highs will approach 90 with increased humidity making it feel much warmer. Skies will remain mostly sunny for Monday.

Wednesday will be the hottest day of the week with temperatures in the lower 90s and heat indices near 100 degrees. Heat advisories may be issued for mid week.

Our next chance of rain will be Thursday as a cold front brings some scattered thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms Threaten for Ribs Burnoff

Strong storms could threaten tonight’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Ribs Burnoff at the Stark County Fairgrounds. The threat of thunderstorms remains through tonight and into Thursday morning.

A cold front will sag south into the region today increasing the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms over Stark County this afternoon and tonight.

Wednesday’s weather in Stark County will bring sunshine and warm temperatures to the area. Temperatures around the area should be around the 90 degree mark through the afternoon hours. The hot temps, plus additional moisture in the atmosphere, will combine to make temperatures feel more like the mid 90s.

A cold front to our north will begin to sag southward into Northeast Ohio this afternoon destabilizing the atmosphere over our area and kicking up some thunderstorms. The National Weather Service says that some of these late afternoon and evening storms could become strong to severe with heavy rainfall in isolated areas.

Those attending the Pro Football Hall of Fame Ribs Burnoff tonight in Canton should keep a watchful eye toward the weather during the evening hours and be prepared to take shelter should severe weather threaten.

The threat of thunderstorms will continue into the nighttime hours. Lows tonight will be around 70.

Any leftover thunderstorms should clear out of the region by Thursday morning allowing high pressure to build in Thursday afternoon. It will be warm and humid Thursday with highs in the mid 80s. Clouds will diminish through the day leaving us with clearing skies in the evening.

It will be a little cooler Thursday night with lows in the mid 60s.

High pressure will be in place going into the weekend allowing for sunshine and blue skies for the Pro Football Hall of Fame festivities in Canton. Highs will be in the low 80s for Friday and Saturday and the mid 80s for Sunday’s game.

Heat, Humidity Returns

Hot and humid weather conditions will return over Stark County beginning Tuesday afternoon. The chance of a shower or thunderstorm remains in the forecast through Thursday.

Hot, humid conditions will return to Stark County for Tuesday. Thunderstorms chances increase for tonight into Wednesday.

Stark County woke to early morning cloud cover resulting from a line of thunderstorms to our west. These storms should weaken as they continue moving southeastward into Western Ohio through the morning hours. Radar indicates patches of showers migrating toward our area, but most of these patches of rain are very light with most of the precipitation not making it to ground level.

As this system looses its punch through the rest of the morning, Stark County should see a return to sunshine during the afternoon hours. With the increased moisture in the atmosphere and a good chance of a sunny afternoon, we can expect some very warm and humid weather conditions later in the day.

Highs today will be in the upper 80s to near 90 during the afternoon hours. The additional humidity will make it feel much warmer with heat indices in the mid to upper 90s.

The chance of a popup shower or thunderstorm will remain through the day today. There is a 30 percent chance of a popup shower or thunderstorm through the day Tuesday. Thunderstorm chances will increase as the evening hours approach. Lows tonight will be right around 70 with thunderstorm chances increasing to 50 percent.

Thunderstorm chances continue into Wednesday with mostly cloudy skies. Highs Wednesday will once again be near 90 and a 50 percent chance of a thunderstorm of shower.

 Temperatures will remain above normal through Thursday.

High pressure builds in over the region on Friday dropping temperatures back to near normal and bringing sunshine to the area for this weekend’s Pro Football Hall of Fame events.

Great Day for a Parade

Mostly sunny and moderate temperatures for parade time in downtown Canton this afternoon. Expect temperatures to be in the low 80s. Low humidity will also serve to make conditions pleasant for the HOF Community Parade.

A mix of sun and clouds for this afternoon’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Community Parade in downtown Canton.

Areas of patchy fog greeted Stark County this Sunday morning as winds became nearly calm over the region. Temperatures and dew points also dropped to low levels overnight, contributing to early morning fog formation. Those areas with fog should see clearing as the sun rises higher in the sky through the morning hours.

Pleasant conditions and comfortable temperatures will settle in over the county for this afternoon’s Pro Football Hall of Fame Community Parade in downtown Canton. Parade goers will have nearly perfect weather for a summertime parade with temperatures right around 80 to 82 degrees with a mix of sun and clouds. The dew point and humidity will also remain low which will help keep the sticky factor to a minimum.

There is a slight chance of a thunderstorm this afternoon as a weak cold front dips south into the area during the afternoon. However, the chance remains very slight.

Skies remain mostly clear for tonight with a low in the mid 60s.

Sunshine will return for Monday bringing a warming trend to the region. Highs Monday will be in the mid 80s for most communities in Northeast Ohio.

Tuesday will bring the hottest temps for the week with highs in the low 90s.

The threat of thunderstorms over the area arrives Tuesday during the late afternoon and into the evening with the approach of a cold front.

Showers and thunderstorms will remain a possibility through Wednesday with temperatures generally in the mid to upper 80s.

Slight Chance of Weekend Showers; Heat Returns Monday

A thirty-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms threaten this weekends Pro Football Hall of Fame festivities in Canton. However, there is a 70 percent chance it won’t rain at all!

Clouds will be on the increase across Stark County through the evening hours as a weak weather system moves in over the region and brings an increased chance of showers and thunderstorms for the weekend.

For those attending HOF events Friday night, expect a cool, pleasant evening. Lows for Friday night will be in the upper 50s in most locations around the county.

Saturday brings an increased chance of a shower or thunderstorms mainly in the afternoon and into the evening hours. The chance of rain is 30 percent. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies and temperatures topping out around 82.

The threat of a shower or thunderstorm continues into Saturday night with a low around 60. The chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Rain threatens once again on Sunday. Otherwise, expect mostly cloudy skies with highs in the mid 80s. Clouds will be decreasing as Sunday night approaches becoming partly cloudy Sunday night with a low around 62.

Mostly sunny skies and warming temperatures return for the beginning of the work week Monday. Highs Monday will be in the mid to upper 80s.

Tuesday looks to be the hottest day of the week with temperatures a few degrees either side of 90.

The threat of showers and some thunder returns Tuesday nigh with the approach of a cold front.

Pleasant Weather Ahead

Fair Weather will remain overhead at least through Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will move in over the region Saturday and remain for Sunday.

Cooler, dryer air will bring Stark County some very pleasant weather for the next couple of days

The cold front that brought thunderstorms and heavy rainfall to Stark County has moved south allowing much cooler and dryer air to filter into Northeast Ohio. Temperatures for Thursday will be about 10 to 15 degrees cooler than they were Wednesday. Highs today will top out in the low 80s over the county.

The dry air also brings us some relief from the sticky air we’ve been under the last few days. The dry air will also contribute the our fair weather pattern through at leas Friday.

Thursday will bring plenty of sunshine along with a few clouds early. Through the afternoon hours, the clouds will diminish leaving us with nothing but blue skies and sun.

Tonight will remain mostly clear with lows in the upper 50s, which will feel a bit chilly for this time of the year.

Friday brings another day of sunshine and pleasant temperatures. Look for highs Friday once again in the low 80s.

Our next chance of rain will come Saturday. Expect some sunshine in the early morning hours with increasing clouds through the late morning and early afternoon. There is a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday afternoon. Otherwise, skies will become mostly cloudy later on in the day.

Strong Thunderstorms Possible Wednesday Over Stark

Strong thunderstorms are possible over Stark County Wednesday afternoon and evening according to the Storm Predictions Center. The center indicates a slight risk for all of Northern Ohio in advance of a cold front due to arrive Wednesday night.

The Storm Prediction Center forecasts a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon and evening for Northeast Ohio including Stark County.

Heat and humidity returns to Stark County Wednesday afternoon in advance of a cold front that will cross Northeast Ohio late Wednesday night. Temperatures will once again approach the 90 degree mark Wednesday afternoon and evening in the county. The warmer air also contains plenty of moisture which will make it feel much warmer than 90.

The approaching front will also bring the chance of strong to severe thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon into Wednesday evening. The Storm Predictions Center has placed Northern Ohio counties under a slight risk for the development of severe thunderstorms tomorrow. The primary threat from any developing thunderstorms will be locally damaging winds and hail. The storms could also bring periods of torrential rainfall causing some localized flooding.

A few thunderstorms could linger into Thursday morning with skies generally becoming clear by Thursday afternoon. Temperatures Thursday will be much cooler with highs around 80. It will also be much less humid Thursday and Friday.

Friday’s highs will be in the upper 70s under mostly clear skies.

Saturday is expected to bring another round of thunderstorms across the region. However, these storms are not expected to be severe.

Heat, Humidity Returns for Wednesday

Cooler, dryer air will remain over the region through Tuesday. Temperatures will be in the increase Tuesday evening with hot, humid conditions returning to the area on Wednesday.

After a pleasant start to the work week, hot, sticky weather conditions will return mid week over Stark County.

Pleasant weather is in place over Stark County thanks to the passage of a cold front over the weekend. The front brought milder temperatures and dryer air for the region breaking an extended period of hot and humid weather.

Tuesday’s weather starts out to be very pleasant with similar conditions. However, temperatures on Tuesday will begint o increase late in the afternoon as warm, moist air from the south pushes northward and begins to invade the region. The warm southern air will also bring an increase in moisture raising the humidity levels and bring back hot sticky weather conditions for Wednesday.

Temps on Wednesday will once again hover around the 90 degree area and become increasingly more humid.

Numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop Wednesday in the late afternoon and early evening as a cold front approaches from the north. There is a potential for some of these storms to become strong to severe Wednesday evening. The strongest storms will develop over Northwest Ohio.

Thunderstorms will continue into Wednesday night into Thursday morning and taper off after daybreak Thursday. The showers and thunderstorms will linger longer in the northeast and gradually decrease as the frontal system passes.

High pressure builds in over the region for Friday bringing back the sun and pleasant weather conditions going into the weekend. Temperatures for Friday will be in the lower 80s.

Cooler, Dryer Weather for Sunday

Hot and humid conditions for Saturday with heat indices reaching 100 to 104 degrees. A cold front will bring thunderstorms later in the day with cooler temperatures for Sunday.

Hot and muggy weather conditions will once again linger over Stark County for Saturday. A cold front will bring the possibility of some strong to severe thunderstorms tonight along with cooler and dryer air for Sunday.

Hot and humid weather will once again settle in over Stark County communities for Saturday and heat advisories are in effect for most of Ohio.

The National Weather Service is calling for temperatures in the mid to upper 90s over all of Northeast Ohio for today. The warm temperatures, together with a humid air mass will make the temperatures feel like 100 to 104 degrees Saturday afternoon and evening.

A cold front will move in over the state today and tonight bringing the threat of thunderstorms to the region this afternoon and evening. Some of the storms could become quite strong to severe with damaging winds and hail. The Storm Prediction Center has placed Northeast Ohio under a slight risk for severe weather for today and tonight.

The front will bring cooler and dryer air to the county on Sunday with temperatures about 10 degrees cooler. Much dryer air will also accompany the frontal passage reducing the mugginess factor considerably. Sunday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 80s over Stark County.

Those with outdoor activities today should take precautions to avoid heat-related illnesses and drink plenty of water. Those most susceptible to excessive heat, including the very young and the elderly, should remain in air conditioned areas if possible.

Those outdoors today should also keep an eye to the sky for developing severe weather - especially this afternoon and evening and be prepared to take shelter should severe thunderstorms move in over the area. Thunderstorms will be accompanied by frequent lightning and strong winds.
