| A pleasant weekend on tap for Stark County with temperatures more in tune with our seasonal normals. Expect sunny skies and temperatures in the mid 80s Saturday and Sunday. |
A cold front will bring showers and thunderstorms to Stark County for Friday and some slightly cooler temperatures for the weekend.
Drive around Stark County and you’ll see an early indicator that we need some rain. Already, many lawns around the county are beginning to brown due to the lack of moisture in the ground.
That condition should change beginning Friday as a cold front will bring us some much-needed rain along with temperatures more in tune with the season.
The front is a slow mover, so until it gets here sometime tomorrow we’ll need to sweat through one more warm night tonight. Temperatures will remain warm again tonight with lows only getting down to around 80 to start.
However, as the frontal system approaches, some disturbances ahead of it may generate some thunderstorms. A few scattered areas around Northeast Ohio may get some early rainfall sometime after midnight tonight and into the early morning hours.
Precipitation should be able to blossom fairly quickly during the mid/late afternoon Friday. Conditions do not support any severe thunderstorm development. However, some fairly strong thunderstorms could develop and move over some of our communities.
Highs Friday will be right around 80 - a bit cooler than we’ve been having this past week.
Thunderstorms will continue going into the evening hours Friday with temperatures becoming much cooler than past evenings. Expect lows Friday night in the upper 60s along with those thunderstorms and scattered showers.
The sun will return Saturday with much more pleasant conditions. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be about 10 degrees cooler than the mid 90s we’ve been having. Highs will be right around 80 to 85 through the weekend.
Our next chance of rain will arrive Monday night with a decent chance of some additional rain for Tuesday. Our weather dries out once again on Wednesday.
Temperatures will remain seasonal through the forecast period with highs in the mid 80s.
